Heather Carter

Heather Carter is a neurodivergent author who writes primarily fantasy romance. Composing stories since childhood, she loves all things fantastical, sometimes bordering on the creepy. Her novel, Of Songs and Saltwater, a gender-swapped retelling of The Little Mermaid, debuted in June 2021. Since then, she has published several other works with more on the way.

Heather calls the St. Louis area home and lives with her family and an extremely spoiled cat. When she’s not writing, she loves to read fantasy novels, make music, and drink copious amounts of coffee.

Heather Carter's upcoming novel, The Mountain King, is set for release in Fall 2024. We are so happy to welcome her to the Eyebright family!

Emily McPherson

Emily found a love of storytelling while making up stories to entertain her younger cousins at family reunions. After one particular riveting tale involving a duck and giraffe becoming best friends, she began to write down the stories she told in her Junie B. Jones notebook. As she grew up, her tastes in literature changed from KidLit to Young Adult, and it is there that she found her home.

Emily McPherson's first novel, Mother of the River, is available now. Keep an eye out for the sequel coming Spring 2024. We are so happy to have her in the Eyebright family!
